The charity offers training courses for parents and professionals at The Sarah Duffen Centre and
works in partnership with other organisations to provide its training at other venues across the UK
and worldwide.
Training courses at The Sarah Duffen Centre
The charity runs a full programme of Key Topics, Issues in
Depth and Skills in Depth training courses at The Sarah Duffen Centre.
Location
The Sarah Duffen Centre is located in Southsea, Hampshire, on
the south coast of England. It is well connected via sea, air, road and rail, and there is a range of

Training across the UK and overseas
The charity provides the majority of its training at venues across the UK and worldwide in partnership
with other organisations and groups. Each year, several thousand participants benefit from training
days provided by the charity across the UK and worldwide.
The courses we offer at The Sarah Duffen Centre form the basis for training services we can provide
at other locations. Support groups and other organisations in the UK and overseas also work with the
charity to offer our renowned Family conferences to their area meet the needs
of local families.
Working in partnership
The charity's unique expertise means that it is the ideal training partner for support groups, schools,
education, health and other government agencies and Down syndrome associations across the UK around
the world.
Costs
The charity has to request fees for providing these training services. In our experience, event organisers
can usually recover these fees with minimal charges to delegates attending their event.
As a guide, the current daily fees for a single speaker are shown in the table below. This fee may vary
according to the members of the charity's staff providing this service. Further details of current fees
for multiple speakers are available on request. In addition, you will be expected to pay for all out-of-pocket
travel and accommodation expenses.
