Key Topics: Promoting the development and education of children with Down syndrome from 3 to 5 years

This training course aims to help parents and professionals promote the development and education of preschool children with Down syndrome.

Audience

This is a one-day training course for those caring for and working with preschool children with Down syndrome, including parents, health visitors, therapists, home visiting and early years teachers, nursery nurses and child care workers.

Aims

The course aims to provide the key information and practical knowledge necessary to enable participants to successfully support and include the development of preschool children with Down syndrome (aged 3 to 5 years).

Much of the course content will prepare participants to include and support the development of a wide range of pre-school children with learning disabilities and/or speech and language delay, in addition to children with Down syndrome.
