Audience
This is a one-day training course for parents, teachers, assistants, Special Educational Needs Coordinators
and advisory teachers.
We also run an Issues in Depth training course on
Speech and Language Development for
qualified Speech and Language Therapists.
Aims
The course aims to provide the practical knowledge and skills
necessary to enable participants to successfully plan, develop and
deliver interventions to teach reading and writing, and to
incorporate goals into the curriculum for all aspects of speech and
language development.
Much of the course content will be equally relevant for working
with other children with learning disabilities and/or speech and
language delay, in addition to children with Down syndrome.
