Feedback on our early intervention services

"[my daughter] has been attending the early intervention sessions at DownsEd in Portsmouth, which are brilliant and if you can get to them then I really do recommend them." Parent, UK

"The best speech therapy that [my children] get is 1) being with their peers and 2) at DownsEd, as I'm lucky enough to live near there and attend their early development groups." Parent, UK

"We are fortunate in that we live within striking distance of DownsEd and been attending the centre for fortnightly early development groups since [our daughter] was about 5 months old. She is now 4 and starts at our village primary school in September. The input of Sue, Gillian and all the team at the centre has been invaluable to Alice and to us as a family. The advice they can offer covers a huge range of subjects - not just speech and reading. For example, when [our daughter] started at mainstream pre-school aged 2.5, she was one of the few children who knew how to sit still, listen and take turns - all of which she had been practising at the Sarah Duffen Centre. I would advise any family with a child with Down syndrome to contact them and look at what they have to offer - you don't need to live within  driving distance to benefit." Parent, UK
