Support research that works today

People with Down syndrome can lead happy and fulfilled lives. Increasingly they are being offered the opportunities to do so.

Help us continue to expand these opportunities today...

Open Access publishing

Down Syndrome Education International has launched a new Open Access publishing initiative to extend the reach and broaden access to our extensive information resources.

Our leading journals, books, videos and teaching materials are important resources for families, professionals and researchers around the world. Our Open Access publishing initiative will make these resources freely available to anyone, anywhere.

Extensive resources

The charity has published practical and informative resources for families and practitioners for over 20 years. Our publishing activities form a vital part of our mission and drive a large part of our impact.

Our current publications include the leading journal dedicated to Down syndrome research and practice, and the most comprehensive series of books on issues for people with Down syndrome.

Free online access

The charity is now working towards making all of of its existing information resources openly accessible via its Down Syndrome Online web site.

Most volumes of Down Syndrome Research and Practice, past newsletters and articles from Down Syndrome News and Update are already available. During the coming months, further papers from Down Syndrome Research and Practice and the books from the Down Syndrome Issues and Information series of books will also be published online.
