A review by Professor Sue Buckley of the current research evidence on
teaching reading and writing to individuals with Down syndrome has just
been published in the new book Speech and Language Development and
Intervention in Down syndrome and Fragile X syndrome.
A new review of the latest research into reading and writing
Professor Sue Buckley, the Trust's Director of Science and Research, was
commissioned to undertake a review of the latest research evidence on
teaching reading and writing to individuals with Down syndrome for the
new book Speech and Language Development and Intervention in Down
syndrome and Fragile X syndrome.
This new book, edited by world-renowned experts Joanne Roberts, Robin Chapman
and Steven Warren, has just been published by Paul Brookes Publishing.
Sue's review, written with Fragile X specialist Mina Johnson-Glenberg, appears in the book as
part of a chapter entitled ‘Increasing literacy learning for individuals
with Down syndrome and Fragile X syndrome’.
