Pompey donate Charity Shield funds to the charity

Local Premiership team (and FA Cup finalists) Portsmouth FC have donated a share of their Charity Shield money to the charity.

Portsmouth FC selected Down Syndrome Education Internationalas one of 3 local Portsmouth charities to receive a share of their proceeds from the FA Charity Shield Fund.

Two teenagers who attend mainstream secondary schools in Portsmouth, were presented with the cheque for £1,666 at Fratton Park before the Premiership game against Derby County on 19th January 2008.
