Raising revenue for the charity
Kind-hearted staff at the local HM Revenue and Customs offices at Wingfield House
and Lynx House in Portsmouth have selected the charity to be their Charity of the
Year for 2006-07.
Fundraising whilst they work
The HM Revenue and Customs staff at the local offices at Wingfield House and Lynx
House in Portsmouth selected us to benefit from their charity of the year activities
for 2006/07.
They have tackled their fundraising with much enthusiasm, and have already held
a 'Posh in the Office' day when employees dressed themselves and their work areas
for posh occasions, a charity football match, raffles, a quiz and a 'name the stately
home' picture puzzle.
Staff have also contributed their favourite recipes for a special cookbook sold
at the tax offices.
Their fundraising activities are also continuing for the rest of the year.
Helping at The Sarah Duffen Centre
A team of very willing volunteers from the tax offices are also poised with their
brushes, rollers and paint pots to tackle some long-overdue redecorating of the
rooms at The Sarah Duffen Centre during the Easter break – in particular the library/family
room.
So, if the next time you visit the charity you notice that things are looking spick
and span, you know who to thank!
