Early Development Groups back for a new term
The charity's early intervention services for pre-school children start a new term. The
Trust's innovative early intervention groups in Portsmouth for children with Down
syndrome provide structured activities to promote development during their preschool
years.
To coincide with the start of the new school year, the charitys world-renowned Baby
Development Groups and Early Development Groups re-start in mid-September following
a break over the summer. Over 80 families from all across the South East of England
now attend these groups, run by the charity at its base, The Sarah Duffen Centre in
Southsea, Hampshire, UK. Our Baby Development Groups (for babies under 18 months)
work with parents and their babies to promote development from the earliest months.
Our Early Development Groups (for children from 18 months to 4 years) work with
parents to help their children develop language, cognitive and social skills.
