Sue Buckley speaks at BPS conference

Sue Buckley presented a joint paper on the Early Support Developmental Journal at the British Psychological Society Development Section Conference in September 2006. Sue Buckley spoke at the recent British Psychological Society Development Section Conference at Royal Holloway, University of London, 7-9 September 2006.

She presented a joint paper, co-authored by John Oates, John Clibbens, Julie Hughes and Clare Tatterson, on the new Developmental Journal for Babies and Children with Down Syndrome.

This new journal, produced as part of the UK government's Early Support programme, aims to enable parents and carers to monitor and record the development of children with Down syndrome. The paper presented at the BPS conference discussed the creation of the Journal and its potential use for collecting developmental data to provide norms, to look at longitudinal developmental trajectories and to answer specific research questions.
