Our members play a vital role in supporting our ongoing work. Membership is also a great way of staying informed and obtaining discounts on products and services.

Core support

Membership donations support many of our core, ongoing activities such as the Down Syndrome Online, the AdviceLine, Down Syndrome Research and Practice and Early Development Groups. Membership donations also increasingly contribute to ongoing research activities.

Participation

Our members' support goes beyond the contribution of regular donations. We consult members about their needs, concerns and priorities. We seek volunteers to participate in research studies from among members. We are also planning new mailing lists and forums for members to communicate with other members.

Low cost

Membership of Down Syndrome Education International starts at a suggested annual donation of just £10 / €15 / $20 (for Friend membership).

We are pleased to accept smaller membership donations from individuals experiencing financial hardship, particularly those from less economically developed countries.

Member benefits

All members receive regular updates, including two copies of Trust News each year - our newsletter reporting our activities and new services.

Member rewards

In recognition of the ongoing support of our members, we offer selected benefits, including discounts on products and training courses.

These include:

• Members' subscription rates for the journal Down Syndrome Research and Practice - helping members stay informed of research and practical advice.
• Member's delegate rates for training courses run by the charity.
• Member's discounts on Trust books, teaching materials and DVDs.
