Join and support our work

Our members play a vital role in supporting our ongoing work. Membership is also a great way of staying informed and obtaining discounts on products and services.

Membership donations provide an important, regular and predictable source of income that supports many of our core activities including the AdviceLine and online information services, including Down Syndrome Online.

Membership categories

We have range of membership categories with differing benefits -

  • Friend membership - for friends and supporters who wish to simply support our work and stay informed of our activities.
  • Individual membership - for individuals who wish to support our work, stay informed of our activities and receive discounts on products and services selected for individuals
  • Family membership - for families who wish to support our work, stay informed of our activities and receive discounts on products and services selected for families
  • Professional membership - for individuals who wish to support our work, stay informed of our activities and receive discounts on products and services selected for professionals
  • Organisation membership - for support groups, schools, associations and research centres that wish to support our work, stay informed of our activities and receive discounts on products and services selected for organisations

Core support

Membership donations support many of our core, ongoing activities such as the Down Syndrome Online, the AdviceLine, Down Syndrome Research and Practice and Early Development Groups. Membership donations also increasingly contribute to ongoing research activities.

Participation

Our members' support goes beyond the contribution of regular donations. We consult members about their needs, concerns and priorities. We seek volunteers to participate in research studies from among members. We are also planning new mailing lists and forums for members to communicate with other members.

Member benefits

All members receive regular updates, including two copies of Trust News each year - our newsletter reporting our activities and new services.
