Delivering results

We have a clear vision and a proven track record for delivering practical improvements to all areas of development and education for people with Down syndrome.

UK Gift Aid

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity for UK taxpayers. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the charity you are supporting will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue.

On top of this, higher rate taxpayers are eligible to reclaim as much as £23 from the taxman for every £100 donated to charity, by including details of their Gift Aid donations on their Self Assessment form.
You can also retrospectively authorise Gift Aid reclaims for donations made since April 2000 by printing, completing and returning a form.

US 501(c)(3) tax deductible gifts

US donors can currently donate sums over $500 through CAFAmerica - a 501(c)(3) registered US organisation. Unfortunately, they do not accept one-off donations for less than $500.

The Down Syndrome Educational Trust is planning to establish a US arm to develop our US work and to enable simpler tax-efficient giving for US citizens. Please see our 'DownsEd USA' page for further information and updates.
