Take on a challenge
You can raise money for our work by taking on a sponsored challenge. Anything from a short walk
to a full triathlon. Or by tackling something even more extreme...
Sporting events
Feeling energetic? Want to get fit, have fun and raise money for the charity? Then why not take part
in a sponsored sporting event?
Set yourself a challenge - from a walk in the park to cycling from Lands End to John o'Groats. Or anything
in between - a half marathon, a 10km run, a triathlon, a sponsored swim (like 30 lengths to celebrate
your 30th birthday), or a sponsored hike of the 3 peaks (or more...).
Then ask your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you.
London Marathon
Unfortunately, we are not fortunate enough to be allocated any guaranteed 'Golden Bond' charity places
for the London Marathon. If you are successful in securing places through the public ballot or via a
running club and would like to raise money for the charity, please
contact us.
Other challenges
Or perhaps you'd like to think up your own type of challenge. Maybe a sponsored slim, a sponsored silence
or a talk-a-thon, a read-a-thon, a sponsored pram-push - the list is endless.
Charity skydives
If you'd like to raise money by taking on the adrenaline-filled challenge of a parachute jump, visit
the Skyline Parachuting website
to find out more - select our name from the list (we are currently listed under our former name - Down
Syndrome Educational Trust).
