The Down Syndrome Educational Trust aims to promote research by taking a lead in international research into the education and development of children with Down syndrome.

Promoting research through collaboration

We actively promote research into Down syndrome by:

  • seeking out research links with other leading UK and international researchers across the wide range of disciplines affecting individuals with Down syndrome

    bringing together and collaborating with leading researchers in the UK and overseas through regular research meetings
  • organising the world's leading regular conference on developmental issues in Down syndrome

  • providing a range of research-focused email discussion lists for international researchers
  • helping researchers recruit participants for their studies where appropriate
