This web seminar offers a live group consultation with expert practitioners focused on developing vocabulary and grammar for children and young people with Down syndrome (0 to 16 years). The web seminar covers the following areas:

  • A research update on vocabulary and grammar and the relationships between them.
  • Vocabulary and grammar learning in children and teenagers with Down syndrome.
  • Issues affecting assessment of expressive language skills.
  • Ways to develop vocabulary and grammar in both comprehension and production across the age range.

This web seminar is suitable for speech and language professionals. It provides the information and practical advice needed to provide effective speech and language therapy and support for young people with Down syndrome from birth to 16 years of age. It is available to participants worldwide.

Each session lasts 1.5 hours, including 50-60 minutes for the live presentation and 30-40 minutes for the interactive discussion. Participants can submit questions during the session.
