and meaningful lives for children with Down syndrome (from birth to 5 years), followed
by an interactive discussion between participants and expert panellists.
About the web seminar
This web seminar offers a live group consultation with expert practitioners focused
on how we can support full inclusion and meaningful lives for children with Down
syndrome (from birth to 5 years). The session covers the following areas:
- Planning for full and meaningful lives.
- The world of school and community - how to encourage friendships and social inclusion
in school and in the community.
- The role of inclusive education.
- Preparing for adult independence.
- How to identify demands and to take care of the whole family now and in future years.
This web seminar is suitable for teachers, teaching assistants, educational/school
psychologists, speech and language therapists/pathologists, other health and education
professionals, representatives of support groups and families seeking detailed information.
It is available to participants worldwide.
Each session lasts 1.5 hours, including 50-60 minutes for the live presentation
and 30-40 minutes for the interactive discussion. Participants can submit questions
during the session.
