Web seminar: Strategies for accessing the curriculum - adaptations, resources and differentiation (5 to 11 years)

This web seminar provides key information and recommendations for supporting children with Down syndrome (5 to 11 years) to access school curricula.


Topics

Topics covered include:

  • Adaptations to teaching and assessment approaches which will optimise learning for most children with Down syndrome.
  • Principles for differentiating the regular curriculum.
  • Additional resources to support learning including ICT.

Participants

This web seminar offers in-depth, evidence-based information and guidance for parents, teachers, teaching assistants, educational/school psychologists, speech and language therapists/pathologists, and other health and education professionals. It is available to participants worldwide.

Format

Each session lasts 1.5 hours, including 50-60 minutes for the live presentation and 30-40 minutes for the interactive discussion. Participants can submit questions during the session.
