Online services help
Our interactive online events, web seminars and meetings can be accessed using typical
computer systems. These help pages detail technical requirements, audio options
and other commonly-asked questions.
Down Syndrome Education International's interactive online services are powered
by Cisco WebEx applications.
These offer high-quality, integrated presentation, video and teleconferencing, enabling presenters and participants to communicate, share documents, present information
and video, ask questions, and more.
Computer requirements
All you need to participate is a computer with a compatible web browser
(recent versions of all the most popular browsers will work) and an
Internet connection. Optionally, you can also use a telephone line. If
using a computer for audio communication, we recommend that you use a
headset with a high quality microphone for best results.
Participants join an interactive online session over the Internet via their web
browser which will install a small application through which the session is accessed.
You can use either integrated audio (which transmits and receives sound via the
Internet) or teleconferencing (which uses an ordinary telephone) to join the session.
Countries and language
Participants from all countries are welcome to attend our web seminars.
All sessions and handouts are presented in English.
Times and locations
All of our online services are currently operated from Down Syndrome
Education International's UK offices during UK daytime. We plan to
launch additional services, hosted at Down Syndrome Syndrome Education
USA's offices during US Pacific daytime later in 2010.
