Inclusion support
Through our consulting, information and advice
services we provide practical, evidence-based support
to schools educating children with
Down syndrome in their classrooms.
Down Syndrome Education International provides expert support to
mainstream schools educating children with Down syndrome in their
classrooms. The charity's scientific research
has found that children with Down syndrome who are fully included in
mainstream schools have better speech and language skills, are more
likely to be reading and writing, and to have more mature social
behaviour than those taught in segregated settings.
