Training and consulting fees

We offer a comprehensive range of training and consulting services to governments, schools, non-profit organisations and families around the world. We employ dedicated, expert and experienced staff to provide high quality, evidence-based information, advice, assessments and guidance. Our fees are set to recover the costs of providing services.

Our fees are structured according to service type and location as follows:

• Our office and individual web/teleconference consulting fees are applicable to assessments and report writing undertaken at our offices, and to individual web/teleconference consulting services
• Our group web/teleconference training and consulting fees applicable to web/teleconference group training and consulting
• Our visiting training and consulting fees are applicable to training and consulting services provided at a client’s location and are fully inclusive of all travel, accommodation and insurance expenses

Reduced rates for services delivered in low and middle income countries: For services provided in low or middle income countries, where the primary beneficiaries are resident in that country, we are able to reduce our fees by 20%.

Consulting and training services for which fees are charged are supplied by Down Syndrome Education Enterprises Ltd. Down Syndrome Education Enterprises is wholly owned by Down Syndrome Education International and any surpluses generated from fee-earning activities are reinvested for future service development or donated to the parent charity to fund research programmes and free access information services.

Office and individual web/teleconferencing consulting fees

Our office and web/teleconference consulting fees are applicable to assessments and report writing undertaken at our offices and to consultations delivered via web and teleconferencing services. The fees are based on a standard hourly charge. The minimum charge is a half hour and time charges are rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. Web and teleconferencing services are included in the standard charge for up to one participating connection. For additional connections, a supplement is payable per connection.

Group web/teleconferencing training and consulting fees

Our group web/teleconference training and consulting fees are applicable to training and consulting delivered via web and teleconferencing services to groups – for example, an online workshop delivered to a school or an interactive advice session provided to a support group. The fees are based on a standard hourly charge, allowing for additional preparation and include PDF handouts for participants. The minimum charge is one hour and time charges are rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes. Web and teleconferencing services are included in the standard charge for up to five participating connections. For additional connections, a supplement is payable per connection.

Visiting training and consulting fees

Training and consulting services that are provided at a client’s location are charged on a fully inclusive rate per person providing a specified number of days of continuous service. These fees cover all staff time, including preparation, all travel (to a single location), insurance, accommodation and subsistence charges. Where additional follow-up is required, such as report writing, our standard hourly charges (above) apply.

Countries and regions

Our fees are charged by regions as defined in the United Nations Standard Country and Area Codes Classifications. Low and middle income countries are as defined by the World Bank.
