Eligibility
Eligibility for extra support is based on the economic development status of the
country in which the individual or organisation resides. We offer different levels
of extra support to:
- Individuals and organisations resident in 'least developed countries'
- Individuals and organisations resident in 'low-income and lower-middle income economies'
- Individuals and organisations resident in 'upper-middle income economies'
- Individuals on low incomes in 'developed' countries

Down Syndrome Education International is committed to helping people with Down
syndrome everywhere.
Our research and publishing helps over 100,000 parents and professionals in over 180 countries
around the world.
People with Down syndrome are born into families everywhere. In many countries,
many aspects of life for many people with Down syndrome have improved in recent
decades. However, for many others this has not happened.
Down Syndrome Education International is committed to helping people with Down syndrome
everywhere. To help in meeting this commitment, the charity offers comprehensive
and freely accessible information and advice online.
The charity also offers membership,
products and services at reduced rates to individuals and organisations experiencing
financial hardship, and particularly those in less economically developed countries.
Reduced rate Supporters' Club membership
We are pleased to receive reduced Supporters' Club
membership donations from individuals and organisations experiencing financial hardship,
and particularly those in less economically developed countries.
Discounts on DownsEd publications
We offer discounts on our own publications, including the journal
Down Syndrome Research and Practice and the extensive range of
Down Syndrome Issues and Information books.
Open Access
The charity's new Open Access initiative will ensure that the latest and most
reliable information about Down syndrome is available to anybody, anywhere.
Translations
We are working to develop translations of our information resources to improve access
for more people around the world. We are seeking suitably qualified partners to
work with us on these efforts. If you can help, please email
