Joining the groups

The section provides information about joining our groups for babies and young children with Down syndrome.

Fees and booking information

Group timetable

The early intervention groups run regularly on certain days during term‑time. Children and their parents attend one session per month (10 sessions per year).

Each session lasts for a total of 2 hours, including 20 minutes of formal one-to-one activities, including the opportunity to discuss progress with staff. Families then return to the playroom for play and to talk with other families.

Fees

Down Syndrome Education Internationalsubsidises the provision of these groups from charitable funds and through seeking grant-funding. In order to cover overheads, we request a small parental contribution per session (shown below, payable termly in advance).

Assistance with fees and travel costs

Families experiencing particular financial difficulties may apply to Down Syndrome Education Internationalfor assistance with fees and travel costs, made possible by grants received from The Big Lottery Fund and BBC Children in Need.
